As a 100% pure product, Fytocell® flakes can be used in soilless culture and hydroponics systems, which can increase yield for enhanced growth and better crops.
It is an easy way to improve potting soils, soil additive that improves root development and plant growth.
Municipalities recommend the usage of Fytocell® for use in hanging baskets. Due its water saving/holding capacities it not only saves water but reduces time spent regularly watering such plants.
Fytocell® for Hydroponics
Is Fytocell® for Hydroponics?
Fytocell® has been developed to be used as a 100% hydroponic growing media. Although it can also be mixed with a number of other growing media e.g. perlite, stone wool, coir, peat and even clay balls.
What systems can I use Fytocell® in?
Fytocell® will work fantastically in a dripper or a hand watered, run to waste system.
Will Fytocell® work in a recirculating system?
Absolutely! Either in a dripper, or an ebb and flow recirculating system.

When you add Fytocell®, your potted plants will flourish using less water whilst also reducing heat stress.

Fytocell® for Potting Soil
Will my plants become waterlogged?
No, Fytocell® always retains air space within its foam structure; preventing water-logging and the rotting of plant roots. This air space also reduces soil compaction in the root zone.
Is Fytocell® biodegradable and environmentally safe?
Yes, Fytocell® breaks down into carbon and nitrogen within the soil over a 20 year period. Due to its sterile, inert nature, Fytocell® will not change the chemical balance(pH) of your soil. Fytocell® is also perfectly safe to use in vegetable gardens.
How much Fytocell® do I need to use?
For best results, use 1 part Fytocell® to 2 parts soil or potting mix, and always mix thoroughly.
